Just by the fire-ridden cover and '70s-inspired font, one could tell what kind of music this Scandinavian four-piece produces: stripped down rock & roll that's played on Flying V guitars. There must be something in the water over there that makes one want to grow their hair down their butt, purchase a pair of leather pants, and look up to Iggy Pop. This isn't particularly a bad thing as this debut album rocks out to an idolization of the Hellacopters and Gluecifer. But at the same time, the G.G. Allin and Gang Green covers couldn't save the Retardos from being automatically placed amongst the aforementioned long hairs. Nothing ground breaking, but well deserving of a pinkie-index finer salute.
