The Princess and the Frog: Tiana and Her Princess Friends Review

A companion piece to the soundtrack to Disney’s 2009 holiday offering The Princess & The Frog, Tiana & Her Princess Friends is a ten-song collection of Disney princesses singing songs from their movies. Two of these are on The Princess & The Frog itself -- “Almost There” and “Down in New Orleans” -- leaving the rest to such Disney staples as Belle, Mulan, Pocahontas, and Aurora, with older princesses Snow White and Cinderella represented by new, not old, recordings, and Amy Adams’ winning satire “Happy Working Song” from Enchanted included as well. It’s largely familiar material, but it’s a sweet and cheerful sampler.
