The Platinum Collection Review

by James Christopher Monger

This weirdly uneven and basically unnecessary collection of random Doors songs from Warner Platinum has a few gems like "Love Street," "Moonlight Drive," "Soul Kitchen," and "Tell All the People," but its distinct lack of "hits" reduces it to useless in the humongous Doors anthology canon. Listeners looking for a decent overview should pick up Future Starts Here: The Essential Doors, Very Best of the Doors, or one of remastered versions of any of the band's six studio albums instead of this industry hook without an ounce of bait on it.
