AllMusic Review by

In 1998 the Simitar label, a division of Warner Special Products, released several budget-priced discs featuring number one hits from the '60s, '70s and '80s, loosely based around such themes as Rock It Up, Lovin' Feelings and Party On. Each disc presents the original version of these popular singles on a 16-track CD. Number Ones: The 60's highlights include "Love Is All Around" (the Troggs), "Working in the Coal Mine" (Lee Dorsey), "Good Vibrations" (the Beach Boys) and "San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair)" (Scott McKenzie). Despite minor packaging flaws, Simitar's Number Ones is a decent budget-line series.
