The New World Review

by Mark Allan

Like Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, this racially integrated Vancouver band incorporates the Eastern sounds of bhangra-rock into its music. Most of this seven-member band are East Indians, so their sound is way heavier on Punjabi influence than, say, the Mississippi delta. Electric guitars, sitars, otherwordly melodies, chanting, and hip-hop -- this heavily rhythmic album's got it all. Any band capable of the tenderness in "Always Always" and the kick-ass groove "I Ya Ha" should be heard.
