AllMusic Review by

Trumpeter Al Hirt gets cobilling with Pete Fountain on this album but unfortunately only joins the clarinetist on four of the eight selections; best is "Panama." While those performances also include trombonist Jack Delaney and drummer Monk Hazel among the personnel, the other four numbers find Fountain utilizing his usual quartet of the time with pianist Stan Wrightsman. Nothing too unexpected happens on these Dixieland warhorses (which are augmented by Leonard Feather's "Mighty like the Blues") but this LP should satisfy Dixieland fans; Fountain always sounds so enthusiastic.
