AllMusic Review by

This is the third and final volume issued by Sanctuary to chronicle the influential heavy metal singles released by Neat and its subsidiary, Neat Metal, during the genre's 1980s growth spurt. The collection is dominated by the contributions of Venom and Warfare. The former was a seminal influence on the thrash and black metal groups to come later; the latter mixed Motörhead with punk and sang about the kind of arresting subjects you'd expect a band called Warfare to cover. Also included is material from the Venom spinoff Atomkraft, as well as a strutting number from Neat honcho Jess Cox's band, Tygers of Pan Tang. The entire Neat singles collection is essential for any fan of classic metal, New Wave of British Heavy Metal, or the thrash, speed, power, and black genres that would come later.
