AllMusic Review by

The second of eight LPs in this very valuable series finds Jelly Roll Morton talking about the old days in New Orleans, demonstrating the styles of numerous forgotten early pianists and coming up with many colorful anecdotes. Although some of Morton's pronouncements have to be taken with a grain of salt, as time passes on it seems obvious that there was much more truth than exaggeration in the stories of this proud New Orleans legend.
