The third of five two-LP sets that reissue all of Lester Young's sideman appearances for Columbia mostly consists of his recordings with Count Basie including two versions of the classic "Taxi War Dance" along with other performances that include Young tenor solos. In addition, one of the lesser sessions with Billie Holiday and two performances and one alternate take with organist Glenn Hardman's Hammond Five round out this set. Collectors in particular will want to acquire this series.
