Oscar Peterson's 1959 album The Jazz Soul of Oscar Peterson features the jazz pianist backed by longtime bandmates bassist Ray Brown and drummer Ed Thigpen. As with most all of Peterson's recordings, this is a swinging, straight-ahead affair featuring superb playing throughout. Included are such songs as "Con Alma," "Close Your Eyes," and others.
