The ghettotech remix of Sisqo's "Thong Song" got this EP a lot of attention and more than ample play in the clubs. The track of note here is titled "So Scandalous" and not only integrates a sped-up sample of the ultra-catchy chorus to Sisquo's summer 2000 anthem, but backs this sample with the trademark strings from Dr. Dre's "Forgot About Dre," the other big urban anthem of summer 2000. The merger of these two samples by Assault may be downright kitschy and a bit cheap, but it works wonderfully. The Detroit artist lays down a rolling bassline and some booty-shakin', high-frequency percussion to make this song even more effective. The other song of note on this EP, "Say My Name," also deserves recognition as one of Assault's best tracks to date, with its lyric sample -- "say my name/say my name" -- fitting beautifully in the heart of this song's fat bass beats and the accompanying string arrangement.
