AllMusic Review by

In his first mix album, Billy Bunter attempts to stake his claim on a new term to describe his style of DJing: hard dance. Judging from the tracks he has included here, hard dance is similar to happy hardcore (though a bit slower and darker) with tracks by many of the same producers. There are also similarities to trance and Euro-dance -- notably the hard, percussive beats and the (overly) frequent use of breakdowns. There are a few good productions here by Bang the Future, Ramos Supreme, Force & Styles, Ultraviolence, EC1, & Choci, but the recording quality is subpar, and the sheer number of percussion climaxes (there must be at least a dozen) could make for quick cases of burnout. Another unfortunate quality is that the CD is mastered as one 75-minute track.
