At first glance, one might pass on the soundtrack to the Nicholas Cage film Family Man. The CD includes songs that are common modern rock classics, including U2's "One," Talking Heads' "Once in a Lifetime," and Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game." If for some reason you have waited over a decade to get these songs, this could be the CD for you. Also included are tracks by Edwin McCain, Elvis Costello, and Mr. Big, of all things (yikes!). The Family Man will leave you scratching your head, asking, "Why no Dianne Warren?" The surprise of the set is Seal's "This Could Be Heaven," which will impress everyone who heard his "Kiss From a Rose" from 1995's Batman Forever until their ears bled. Yes, you can like Seal again. Other than that, this soundtrack is not really a necessity for anyone who wasn't a big fan of the film. On second pass, you might want to pass on this, too.
