The 3.0 series collects the biggest hits and songs from major pop artists along with select album tracks and live performances on two discs with a third, shorter bonus disc of additional tracks added in, which means, in the case here, one gets a pretty fair survey of Fred Hammond's recording career. Hammond has done as much as any to establish a fresh sound for contemporary gospel through his work as choir leader, as a bass player for the Winans, as founder and member of the group Commissioned, and through his solo career where he crafted a unique urban praise & worship gospel style. All his representative tracks are here, including “I Want My Destiny,” “Give Me a Clean Heart,” “Every Time I Think,” and others, making this a nice and in-depth portrait of his musical ministry.
