The Erotica Project is a radio program broadcast from WBAI studios in New York. The show has won broadcasting awards for its frank presentation of narrative, musical accompaniment, and structured sounds that enhance the environment of relating heterosexual women's expressions of their sexuality. A made-for-CD environment from the radio program, this recording extrapolates -- and is more explicit than -- those experiences, and features musical accompaniment by Wolfgang Fischer and John Gould Rubin. The bottom line: this is explicit, written and narrated by women (who appear here by first names only), and corny as all get-out. All of the scenarios are common -- so common as to be clichéd -- and the musical frameworks are spare, with tinkling piano and guitars. There is nothing here that is remotely "erotic" unless you find the letters section of old Playboy and Playgirl magazines sexy. This is the stuff cures for insomnia are made of.
