The Complex Rock Tour Live DVD is a captivating look at the Blue Man Group's vibrant live performance. Having spent the prior decade wowing audiences across the globe with its eccentric theatrics, this particular release captures the group touring in support of its second album, The Complex. Filmed before 9,000 fans during two nights in mid-August 2003 at NextStage Amphitheatre in Grand Prairie, TX, the rock spectacle that is The Complex Rock Tour Live celebrates the Blue Man Group's rise in popularity and how audiences around the world have embraced their quirky sense of humor and stylish brand of electronic music. The Blue Man Group don't only put on a rock concert, they deliver a total show. It's a raw combination of conceptual art, sound sculpture, and vaudeville. They've successfully managed to bring their small-setting audio/visual mix to a grand stage, and pulling off such a task doesn't always work. The Blue Man Group's videos with Dave Matthews ("Sing Along") and Bush's Gavin Rossdale ("The Current") are included as well, making the Complex Rock Tour Live package even more enticing. "Exhibit 13," a stunning tribute to September 11th, is an added bonus.
