AllMusic Review by

John Coltrane collectors will want this double CD. Coltrane's 1961 Quintet (with Eric Dolphy on alto, bass clarinet and flute, pianist McCoy Tyner, bassist Reggie Workman and drummer Elvin Jones) is heard during two different concerts recorded the same night. This set gives us "Impressions" and two versions apiece of "I Want to Talk About You," "Blue Train" and "My Favorite Things"; none of the music was previously issued. The recording quality is good and the solos are quite passionate.
