AllMusic Review by

With the exception of two titles, all of the music reissued on this two-LP set (the fourth volume out of nine) was recorded within a three-month period, a measure of the great commercial success that Glenn Miller was experiencing in 1940. The hits of the two-fer are "Tuxedo Junction" (heard in two versions) and "Pennsylvania 6-5000" but generally even the lesser-known titles (at least the ones without Ray Eberle's vocals) are enjoyable. Glenn Miller fanatics in particular will want this set (or the currently available 13-CD box) although those just hoping to acquire his most popular numbers will probably be better off with a sampler instead.
