Lucio Dalla has been crafting his distinct brand of Italian pop since the beginning of the 70's. This collection puts together most of the important songs up until 1980. Although some would disagree with the selections, this portrays him quite realistically as a musician. Not every song is great, but the various periods of his music from the period are well-represented. He almost sounds like an Italian version of Phil Collins, making catchy pop rock that isn't unique until performed by him. Fans may not need this collection, but anyone looking to hear Dalla for the first time would probably want to start here.
