AllMusic Review by

Anyone with ears who came of age in the 1980s can tell you what songs need to be on a Huey Lewis & the News Collection, and there are more than a handful. This 18-track overview from Disky begins appropriately with the one-two punch of "Power of Love" and "The Heart of Rock and Roll," but the hole where songs like "I Want a New Drug," "Do You Believe in Love," "Jacob's Ladder," "Hip to Be Square," and "Heart and Soul" are supposed to be is indeed gaping. Fans looking for the real "news" could check out 1992's The Heart of Rock & Roll: The Best of Huey Lewis & the News, 1996's Time Flies: The Best of Huey Lewis & the News, or 2006's Greatest Hits.
