AllMusic Review by

The Class of Country: 1970-1974 is an adequate, budget-priced collection featuring 14 hits from the first half of the '70s, including Lynn Anderson's "Rose Garden," Jerry Reed's "When You're Hot, You're Hot," Loretta Lynn's "Coal Miner's Daughter," Conway Twitty's "Hello Darlin'," Donna Fargo's "The Happiest Girl in the Whole U.S.A.," Charley Pride's "Kiss an Angel Good Mornin'" and Tom T. Hall's "I Love." It's not a particularly indepth collection, but it does offer a good, solid sampling of hits that should appeal to casual fans of '70s country-pop.
