AllMusic Review by

The Centenary Collection, a four-disc set spanning most of Bing Crosby's career, isn't going to tell listeners much about what they're hearing, but the music included is fabulous. Divided into thematic sets, the box begins with 16 of his biggest hits, closely followed by hits with the Andrews Sisters, a set of jazz songs, Broadway material and standards, collaborations, and, finally, four of his Irish songs. Aside from the hits, most of the highlights come from the collaborations disc, including Crosby's mournful "St. Louis Blues" with Duke Ellington's band, a beautifully harmonic "Tea for Two" with Connee Boswell, and "The Birth of the Blues" with Jack Teagarden.
