Released by NME special products as a cassette in the U.K., this compilation of Greensleeves presaged the eventual release of the Greensleeves Sampler series two years later. In fact, the selection draws from many of the same artists and albums as that CD (and in the case of Yellowman, the same song). Highlights here are Black Uhuru's cover of Bob Marley's "Natural Mystic," Frankie Paul's joyous "War Is in the Dance," and Half Pint's "One in a Million." Makes a convincing argument for the importance of the reggae label. Also notable for having Sean O'Hagan (Microdisney, High Llamas) as one of the compilists.
