AllMusic Review by

The two-part "Boyracer" single yields four great-sounding live songs, all of which sound more impassioned than the whole of the serviceable Beethoven Was Dead live LP. Recorded in London, these cuts bite nicely. Alain Whyte and Boz Boorer have finally developed into attack dogs after half a decade in Morrissey's service, and three of the four songs are from the underrated Vauxhaul and I. The other, on part two, is a profound surprise: a pummeling of the Smiths' one punk-like moment, "London," with all the ferocity of the classic Rank live LP version (even more ferocious than the "Shoplifters of the World, Unite" B-side). Though it's hard to imagine the team of Whyte and Boorer matching Marr, damn they can be told apart on this one song.
