AllMusic Review by

The Best of Honey Cone, a ten-track budget-line overview, lacks the depth of Greatest Hits (released by Fantasy in 1990, and becoming more difficult to find with time) and the excellent two-disc set Soulful Sugar: The Complete Hot Wax Recordings (released by Sequel in 2001), but it does contain all nine of the group's charting singles -- including "Girls It Ain't Easy," "One Monkey Don't Stop No Show," "The Day I Found Myself," "Stick-Up," "Want Ads," and "Innocent 'Til Proven Guilty." It's a shame that there are over 40 minutes of blank space on the disc, but it contains enough to satisfy just about any casual Honey Cone fan. [Note: The contents of this release are identical to that of a disc with the same title released in 2006 by Collectables.]
