AllMusic Review by

Creedence Clearwater Revival were a seminal singles band in the late '60s, turning out radio hit after radio hit in a steady progression, each sounding like some lost, swampy, garage rockabilly band straight out of a Louisiana bayou: a pretty nice feat for a California band. This 24-track set, originally released in this sequence and configuration in 2003, pretty much covers things, from “Proud Mary,” “Bad Moon Rising,” and “Born on the Bayou” to “Fortunate Son,” “Hey Tonight,” and “Up Around the Bend.” It’s all here; everything truly essential, anyway. [The deluxe edition adds the album track “Commotion” and 13 live tracks from various concert tours.]
