AllMusic Review by

Unlike Anthology, released in 1995 on Salsoul via Bethlehem Music, this Anthology -- technically The Anthology -- combines Aurra's four Salsoul albums: Aurra (1980), Send Your Love (1981), A Little Love (1982), and Live and Let Live (1983). (Due to space constraints, one song is missing from Live and Let Live, and it's inconsequential.) A well-selected compilation featuring the 12" mixes of the A-sides, like the Japanese Definitive Collection, is preferable to this, at least as far as casual fans are concerned. However, the album versions are often indistinguishable from the 12" mixes, so this is a minor treasure for those who are willing to dig a little deeper. Aurra never released a certified masterpiece, but each one of their albums has depth beyond the singles.
