Andrew Ross and Ralph Lamb step away from their part in Ninja Tune loungecore merchants the Herbaliser for an album of their own easy listening. Their experience in film and television soundtracks shows its face via an abundance of effects, with the long-player loaded with footsteps on wet cobbles and whistling Italians, all supported by image-conjuring live elements from both the multi-instrumental protagonists and their orchestra -- which consists of a plethora of guests armed with everything from cello and trombone through to guitars and the occasional turntable. The final flourish comes from King Kooba collaborator Melissa Heathcote, whose vocals provide the final piece of an as-good-as-it-gets long-player puzzle.
