AllMusic Review by

The 60's on Intercontinental bills itself as having all number one hits and indeed the track list is quite impressive. Any collection, no matter how brief, couldn't be bad if it contained great songs like Del Shannon's "Runaway," the Drifters' "There Goes My Baby," Bruce Channel's "Hey Baby" or Maurice Williams' "Stay"." Or could it? The ten tracks here are all re-recorded versions of the originals, markedly inferior and modern sounding to a fault. The vocals are pale shadows of the past and the music is stiff and on a karaoke level. Sad to say with the quality of artist involved but there is really no reason for anyone to pick this CD up.
