AllMusic Review by

The second of two Dawn Club LPs that wrap up the later recordings of trumpeter Lu Watters and his Yerba Buena Jazz band feature the leader, either Don Noakes or Warren Smith on trombone, and clarinetist Bob Helm playing spirited Dixieland. Banjoist Clancy Hayes has five vocals -- including definitive versions of "Frankie and Johnny," "My Little Bimbo" and "St. James Infirmary" -- on this cheerful set, which also has excellent renditions of such tunes as "Maple Leaf Rag," "Irish Black Bottom" and "Royal Garden Blues." Most of this music was also reissued by the Homespun label.
