Test Tube Trash leads off with the signature tune "Banned From the Pubs." It is easy to consider this just another collection of the type that seems to accompany Peter & the Test Tube Babies when the group gets another recording deal, but arguably this is the best. Originally an early-'90s release under another title that does not even appear on most of the group's discographies, this album came out when the group first signed to We Bite Records. Arguably, this is the definitive best-of from the group. It contains almost everything found on the more often seen Punk Singles Collection (Anagram Records) and more. The album contains the original studio versions of "Maniac" and "Transvestite," as well as the full-length 12" version of "Key to the City" and an alternate version of "All About Love."
