A nonstop, excellent compilation of late '90s hip-hop, Temple of Hiphop Kulture: Criminal-Justice from Darkness to Light includes a great variety of emcees and rappers, from the smooth, fast rush rapping of Thor-El to the dancehall delivery of Mad Lion, with several appearances by KRS-One. By no means for innocent ears, the lyrics deals with hardness, violence, and drugs (though not necessarily in a supportive light). "Dealing with live facts and effects, not the study of dead material," as the interlude explains, this release is intended to represent the body of hip-hop culture. Definitely recommended for rap and hip-hop fans.
