Sweet and good-natured, this album evokes a lot of nostalgia as it rolls through a collection of standards like "Blue Skies," "Yardbird Suite," and "My Baby Just Cares for Me." The sound is a mixture of pop, swing, Americana, and blues, with a laid-back sound that makes the band seem like a bunch of old friends getting together on a local nightclub stage. David Ross' smooth voice helps keep it all together and there are a few surprises within, including a cover of Tom Waits' "Little Trip to Heaven."
