Dallas' Vas Deferens Organization builds Frankenstein sonics out of unexpected samples in freakish rhythms. Analog synthesizers provide a peculiar bed of sounds. It's a circus sideshow of beats and blips from the found sound radar. Their onesheet made a valid reference to "constructive...nonsense." The majority (four pages) of their liner booklet provides the "odd recommendation:" A-Z of super-obscure groups, early krautrock, noise-rock, 60s Dada musicians, the Pink Floyd family, early space rock, deep tribal projects, free jazz, electronica pioneers, early prog rock, free jazz, minimalist starters, avant-garde and experimental guitarists, post-modern composers, those that inspired industrial music and much, much more that I do not even recognize. Listening hard enough, I can see that all their inspirations are here.
