The somewhat bizarrely named Swatch Together celebrates the relaunching of trendy-in-the-'80s Swatch Watch with a mix of smooth electronica and acid jazz by Eva Gardner that includes Shirley Bassey's "Light My Fire [Kenny Dope Remix]," United Future Organization & Dee Dee Bridgewater's "Flying Saucer," and Joseph Malik's "I Don't Want." Highlights include the Platinum Pied Pipers' buttery "Ridin' High," Cuica's Latin-tinged "Why Not Samba," and Cassius' "Nobody Knows." Tracks by P'taah, Osunlade, Micatone, and Global Soul keep up the detached, catwalk-ready tone of this collection; even if every track on it isn't especially engaging, Swatch Together is still relatively better than most promotional compilations that are released.
