It's always a treat when fiddler Dave Swarbrick "rosins up the bow" with his old pals in Fairport Convention. The concert and CD proceeds were directly earmarked to benefit an ailing Swarbrick but you'd never guess that he was in questionable health based on this recording. Members of Fairport's 1999 lineup join Swarbrick on stage for "The Bonny Black Hare" (first recorded by Fairport and Swarb on 1971's Angel Delight) and two of the fiddler's original pieces, "My Heart's in New South Wales" and the ever-popular "Rosie." Culminating this EP is Bob Dylan's "When I Paint My Masterpiece."
