Guitarist Mick Goodrick fits in terms of sound, influences, versatility and tuning into a loose corps that also includes John Abercrombie, John Scofield and Pat Metheny (possibly Bill Frisell). These musicians are comfortable with jazz, fusion, pop or rock, and can even move into international styles of classical. Goodrick's sometimes light, sometimes terse, angular lines, finely constructed solos and voicings are the main attributes on this session. Original material rather than standards dominates the session.
