AllMusic Review by

With 34 tracks on two discs, this set provides a nostalgic look back at some of the hits of 1967, but since it doesn't include anything from Motown, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Byrds, or any number of other major acts from that year, it is also an incomplete sort of nostalgia. Still, it's nice to hear the Beach Boys' version of "Then I Kissed Her" or Sam & Dave's "Soul Man" or Canned Heat's "On the Road Again" no matter what the context. A lot more happened that year in pop music than this, though, starting with a Beatles album about some guy named Pepper.
