Pearl's 2003 release of early 20th century composer Arthur Sullivan's Rose of Persia/The Emerald Isle combines two of his last operettas on a three-disc set. The Rose of Persia first debuted in 1899 and The Emerald Isle (which was Sullivan's final work and had to be completed by Edward German) debuted in 1901. Both works are performed on the disc by the Prince Consort and the Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Edinburgh.
