The band's debut shows them having fully developed their signature sound of flowing piano, tight rhythm, and slighty sulky vocals; they just haven't quite hit upon compelling material to do their talent justice. Still, the graceful piano line of "Plant Me" bodes well, as does the dissonant descending piano matched against the gritty bass of "Babee." There are some nice sonic touches amidst the seemingly straightforward mix -- the odd studio noise preceding "How He, " and the occasional phased vocal and backwards piano. But none of this quite prepares one for the bizarre "Fearless, " which is filled with nerve-wracking piano and deliberately off-key vocals.
