AllMusic Review by

For the first live album of his career, Italian rocker Ligabue introduces a new band of three guitars, bass, drums, and most significantly, no keyboards. A terrific live performer, over this 1997 double set, Ligabue revisits all of his best songs to date in electrified versions that almost invariably trump the studio ones. In addition, Su e Giù da un Palco offers a few choice surprises, such as Mick Taylor's guest appearance on "Hai un Momento Dio," and three previously unissued studio recordings: "Il Giorno del Dolore Che uno Ha," "Ultimo Tango a Memphis," and the would-be classic "Tra Palco e Realtà."
