This disc contains no information about when or where it was recorded, but stage remarks indicate the location is the Ritz club in New York City, and the set list, which features material from after the Stray Cats' late-'80s reunion, suggests an early-'90s time period. A further revelation is the CD booklet statement: "The Stray Cats are: Brian Setzer, Slim Jim Phantom, Dave Edmunds." Certainly, Edmunds, the group's early producer, makes an excellent substitute for original bassist Lee Rocker, but couldn't that have been indicated on the cover rather than inside? The near-monophonic sound is adequate and the performance professional, but this is a band fulfilling contractual commitments rather than being inspired. No doubt the release of such a live tape is indicative of a desire to clean up on Brian Setzer's recent success as a swing bandleader, but it does little to add to the Stray Cats' catalog.
