The first CD release from Ann Arbor playboy Disco D outlines what's expected from any booty techno DJ: at least an hour of nonstop sonic terrorism, simply packed with renegade scratching, pitched-up vocal tags, and speedy electro-bass, heavy on the 2-step lurch. Blazing through almost 50 tracks in under an hour, Disco D drags in dozens of superb samples, raps, productions, callouts, and remixes; anything capable of moving the typical no-attention-span dancefloor crowd. Despite the booty bump of most tracks, he does give the females equal time, working deftly from the thug shout-out "Where They At" directly into its "Ladies Night Remix." Disco D also provides a glimpse at Detroit future/past techno on "Time Space Scrilla," and gets some great rapping on the cuts " "Tekno 4X4/Detroit Zoo" and the official Disco D remix of Eightball & MJG's "Buck Bounce."
