Stax was never really a blues label in the strictest sense of the term, but with artists like Albert King, Little Sonny, Freddie Robinson, and Little Milton, they at least had a presence in the field. This 11-track budget set features tunes from all four of these artists, offering a nice sampling of the blues filtered through the Memphis Stax/Volt sound.
