AllMusic Review by

K-Tel/Sony Special Products Stars of British Rock features ten tracks that focus heavily on British blues of the period including "The First Cut Is the Deepest" by P.P. Arnold, "I Tried" by Savoy Brown, "On Top of the World" by John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, and "Little Miss Understood" by Rod Stewart. The only real British '60s pop is represented by the Small Faces ("Itchycoo Park") and the Nice ("America"). While these tunes are available on other compilations, this disc offers great sound and a decent selection of '60s blues-rock for casual fans.
