Nice collection of obscure tracks from Jubilee Records, with the spotlight on many of the vocal-group treasures lurking in their vaults. Unfortunately, as is usually the case with Collectables, there's no recording information or liner notes of any kind to illuminate when or where or how these incredible recordings were created. That aside, there are great sides aboard from the Marylanders, the Orioles, the 5 Sharps (their legendary recording of "Stormy Weather"), the Ray O Vacs, the Top Notes, the Ravens, the Bob Knight Four, the Dominoes (with a previously unissued version of "Take Me Back to Heaven"), and the Crows backing up trumpeter/singer Fat Man Humphries. Final verdict: great music with cheap, shoddy packaging. You make the call.
