AllMusic Review by

Ingrid and Christine Jensen, together with pianist Maggi Olin, bassist Mattias Welin, and drummer Jon Wikan, launched Nordic Connect with Flurry, their first Artistshare CD, in 2006. Their follow-up recording also focuses on original works. Ingrid, gifted with a warm, sensitive sound on trumpet and flügelhorn, is a potent soloist, while her composition "Earth Sighs" has an eerie air with a sense of foreboding. Christine, who has written extensively for ensembles large and small, contributed the intricate yet lighthearted "Castle Mountain," while her understated soprano sax is the centerpiece of the lovely ballad "Yew." Olin penned several songs, including the upbeat "Song for Inga," featuring Ingrid's fiery trumpet, and the whimsical "Brejk ä Leg," with electronics adding a wheezy backdrop and occasional delay to her horn. Highly recommended.
