AllMusic Review by

After coming off a most impressive release with his Late Check Out for big brother label Kompakt, DJ Koze contributes an acid saw bassline monster with "Der Jäger." It's not as abrasive or furiously driving as his last appearance for the Speicher series (see Speicher 20's "Brutalga Square"), but like the aforementioned track it's painstakingly crafted for the dancefloor -- pulling out all of the stops and kick drums when necessary to create a buildup ideal for peak-time clubbing. The flip side comes courtesy of Festplatten's Gebrueder Teichmann, and is a brooding, seven-minute workout complete with wobbly bassline and dramatic arrangements that could easily be construed as a remix of Koze's track.
