AllMusic Review by

This is one way to approach "the Sounds of the Sixties" anyway. Here, the skiffle of Lonnie Donegan, the folk-pop of the Searchers, the ska of Desmond Dekker, and the proto-reggae of Jimmy Cliff meet the hard blues-rock sounds of Humble Pie and Fleetwood Mac, the stylish pop of Blue Mink, and the burning hard ska sounds of Lee Perry's Upsetters in a thoroughly unfocused but nonetheless pleasant compilation of (mostly) non-charting tunes.
