If you didn't get enough Sounds of the Eighties through the volumes of the series dedicated to one specific year, Time Life also released a sub-series that covers a couple -- or a few -- years of the decade at once, and there's little (if any) overlap. Again, each volume takes a fairly broad swipe at mainstream hits with little concern for stylistic cohesion. Sounds of the Eighties: 1983-1984 features Donna Summer's "She Works Hard for the Money," Corey Hart's "Sunglasses at Night," Eddy Grant's "Electric Avenue," the Pointer Sisters' "I'm So Excited," the Human League's "(Keep Feeling) Fascination," the Motels' "Suddenly Last Summer," and the Tubes' "She's a Beauty."
